How is Protandim different that MaxGXL products that claim to raise glutathione. |
| StudyNrf2.com said on 11/18/2011 |

MaxGXL might be a good product, but there are a few differences. Protandim up-regulates the expression of over a thousand genes and results in the increase of GSH by 300% (MaxGXL only 266%), but also SOD and CAT. Protandim has also been shown to increase the production of tumor fighting enzymes, reduces the inflammatory response, reduces fibrosis, and all at the gene level, where your body makes the enzymes and chemicals needed, as when you where young. The science behind Protandim is peer reviewed and published. Max International's research has not been peer reviewed or published, and MaxGXL only focuses on 1 enzyme (really its a tripeptide), Protandim is comprehensive as a Nrf2 activator, and is even more effective as a GSH factory than MaxGXL. Also did you know that SOD is responsible for building GSH? This is one reason why Protandim is better at making GSH than MaxGXL, because even when the aging body has the building blocks, if SOD is low, it won't make that much more GSH. Nrf2 activation is also taking off in the pharmacological world, and Protandim is simply a natural and proven way to do that. Supplementation is not as effective. |

Does Protandim do any thing for ALS? |
| StudyNrf2.com said on 11/19/2011 |
There is a study on ALS but it is still ongoing. However, goto pubmed.gov and do some research on oxidative stress and ALS and research it yourself.
Protandim WILL lower oxidative stress, but you'll have to try it, it won't hurt it that's for sure, there is very powerful research on Nrf2 activation and ALS. |

Are there any new studies coming out on Protandim? |
| StudyNrf2.com said on 1/16/2012 |
@Dillarie, yes, as I understand it there are 17 more, and new research will continue because Protandim represents a new tool to lower oxidative stress that was not available, its cheap and easy to include in research, so you'll find more interest ongoing. Remember peer reviewed research takes time, so be patient its coming, and will continue to validate the Protandim story as it comes out. |

Does the FDA Approve of Protandim? |
| StudyNrf2.com said on 1/21/2012 |

The FDA doesn't have legal authority to regulate Protandim like it can a drug, because its a food supplement, however it regulates the industry to prevent abuse and making false claims. The FDA knows about Protandim, see this link. |

hi when will this be available for distributors in canada? and what is the holdup? |
| StudyNrf2.com said on 2/1/2012 |

@todd. Maybe this year., nothing official. Canada is tough however, because it takes each province individually to open, and so its like 6 times the work. However, there is interest, and it will come. |

MaxGXL only 266% vs Protandim 300% -- Wait the clinical studies for Max GXL were 60 days (292% increase in Glutathione) and Protandim claims an 300% increase after 90 days (thats 30 days longer!) . Thats a BIG difference you have failed to mention. |
